Southern China Explore to HK 12D: Shanghai to Zhangjiajie, Yangshuo and Hong Kong

Day 1. Shanghai Arrival
Highlights: Welcome to Shanghai, the most metropolis of China! Upon arrival, you'll be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. The rest of today is at your leisure.

Day 2. Shanghai City Tour
City explore in Shanghai today with a local guide, you will visit the Bund that is riverfront of the Huangpu River, Yuyuan Garden that is an old pretty garden, Xintiandi that is former French Colony, and Jade Buddha Temple etc.

Day 3. Shanhai to Zhangjiajie by air
Today you will fly from Shanghai to Zhangjiajie. The flight information will be sent to you before the tour. If it is early flight, you will head to visit Tianmen Mount today instead of the visit on the following day.

Day 4. Zhangjiajie: Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, 10-Mile-Gallery
Today you will take one-hour ride to Zhangjiajie National Park where you will overlook the wonderful views by super elevator. The elevator takes 1.58 second to transport tourists from the bottom to the Yuanjiajie top exhibiting unbelievable and fantastic views. Enjoy the heaven and earth pillar unpredictable prototype mountain of the movie AVATAR directed by Jame Cameron on the Summit Sightseeing platform. Afterwards you will move to visit Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve that offers a perfect location to have a panoramic picture. Known as 'the Monarch of the Peak Forest', Tianzi Mountain has four wonders the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, the Rays of Sunshine and the Snow in winter. Later you will head to Shilihualang (10-Mile-Gallery) to explore. (One way by electric train; other way on foot for about 30 Minutes.)

Day 5 Zhangjiajie to Furong Town by vehicle

Take a car from Zhangjiajie to Furong Town (approx. 83 km, 2 hours by road). Furong Town, also known as the "Thousand-Year-Old Town Hanging on a Waterfall," has over 2,000 years of history and is home to the Tujia and Miao ethnic minorities. The waterfall view is especially stunning in the evening when it is beautifully lit up. Overnight in Furong Town.

Day 6 Furong Town to Fenghuang Ancient Town by vehicle

Take a car or train from Furong Town to Fenghuang Ancient Town (approx. 140 km, 2-2.5 hours). Built along the Tuojiang River, Fenghuang is a 2,000-year-old town famous for its well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. It is also home to the Miao and Tujia ethnic minorities.

Day 7 Fenghuang - Mount Fanjing - Fenghuang by vehicle

Today you will take 2-hour car ride to Mt Fanjing that was inscribed on the heritage list by UNESCO in 2018, you will take a cable car up and continue walking to visit. The well-known attractions include Golden Summit with red clouds, Yuejing Mountain, Sleeping Buddha, Mushroom Stone, Jiulong Pond, Layers of Mountains, Phoenix Mountain, etc.

Afterwards you will be transferred back to Fenghuang hotel.

Day 8 Fenghuang to Longji Rice Terraces by vehicle

Today you will take 4-hour car ride to Longji in Guilin, which is a wonderful place to view the rice terraces. 

You will stay overnight in the local inn in Dazhai or PiangAn Village, where the fabulous rice paddies are impressive.

Day 9. Longji to Yangshuo by car, Li River boat
Today you will take 3-hour ride from Longji to Yangshuo, a nice Karst mountain circled town. Enjoy the boat tour this afternoon along the pretty Li River that is well-known for its picturesqwe scenery.

Day 10. Yangshuo
It is a nice experience to ride bike to the countryside of Yangshuo, view the picturesque Yulong River. Then you will climb up the Xiong Gong Mount that is a nice spot to have a bird view of Li River. Afterwards, you will move to a tea plantation where you can learn how to make tea leaves.

Day 11. Yangshuo drive to Guilin, bullet train to Hong Kong
Take 2-hour car ride to Guilin railway station to catch a bullet train to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, you will take taxi to hotel. Wander around Victoria Harbour this evening, which is renown for its pretty lights. Later, you will get back to hotel.

Day 12. Departing from Hong Kong
Today is departure day, you can depart anytime to airport at your own cost. Note: Hotel check out time is at noon.
